Resources Used Only for Printing Extensions
Some resources are used for printing extensions, but not for drivers. These resources are described in this section. They are required for all printing extensions.
- The extension scope (
'scop') resource specifies with which imaging systems and drivers your extension is compatible.- The extension load (
'load') resource tells QuickDraw GX where to load your extension in the print message handler chain.- The extension optimization (
'eopt') resource provides QuickDraw GX with information about when your extension needs to be in memory, which allows QuickDraw GX to optimize printing performance.
